SBI PO JOB PROFILE

SBI recruits approximately 2000-2500 candidates (fresher and experienced) every year. SBI PO is the exam conducted in mid of every year for the post of Probationary officers by State Bank of India. SBI PO job profile includes Banking functions, Administrative work or the tasks assigned by the bank. For SBI PO post, candidate must go through a training to understand the working of bank. Probationary officer serves as the public relation officer. SBI PO has bigger roles and responsibilities than other banking PO.

Probation period of SBI PO

The probation period for this post is 2 years in which candidate has to do banking tasks assigned by the bank. Candidate must be aware of the latest development of banking field. Training during this period includes training in finance, accounting, marketing and investment fields.

SBI PO EXAM

The SBI PO exam is conducted in 3 parts – Prelims, Mains and GD / Interview. Candidate has to clear all the three phases. Those who clear Prelims can only appears for Mains exams. Those who qualify Phase II (Mains) can appear for Phase III (GD/ Interview) round. Marks of Mains and Interview/GD process will be taken to calculate the final score. Prelims exam is just of Qualifying nature and its marks will not be counted in final score. Marks of these two phases will be as follows:

SALARY

The basic salary for this post is ₹ 27620. The pay scale for Junior Management Grade Scale I is ₹ 23700 – 980/ 7- 30560- 1145/2- 32850- 1310/7- 42020. The candidates are also eligible for DA, HRA, CCA and other allowances.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualification for appearing in SBI PO exam is Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised by Central Government.
